This SMS Messaging Privacy Policy explains how Iglesia JWC collects, uses, shares, and protects information related to our text messaging communications (“SMS”). It applies when you opt in to receive text messages from us.

When you sign up to receive texts from us, we may collect:

Your communication preferences (for example: events, ministries, volunteer schedules)

How We Share Information

We do not share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We may share information with service providers who help us deliver messages. We use Planning Center for church management and communications, and we may use Planning Center and its service providers to send SMS messages and manage contact preferences. These providers may only use your information to provide services to Iglesia JWC and are expected to protect it.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or if necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of our church and community.

Data Retention

We retain SMS-related information only as long as reasonably necessary to:
operate our texting program,
maintain records of consent and opt-out requests,
comply with legal, administrative, or ministry needs.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information and limit access to authorized church staff and trained volunteers who need it for church communications. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

Children’s Privacy

Our SMS program is not intended for children under 13. If we learn we have collected a child’s phone number without appropriate consent, we will remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date and post the updated version where this policy is published.
